Written by Sheila Evans, who co-directed with me, the story of four girls on a night out, which gets interrupted by the Gyrating Rocket himself (or should that be herself!), was filmed back in October 2014, and we wanted to make sure it was right before it got out there.

Made up of a wonderful cast and crew, the experience of filming this in Birmingham City Centre, was a joy. We spent weeks rehearsing the short, before we landed on location at The Lamp Tavern, and filmed the short in one complete day, all complete with witty one-liners, drag artists, Vimto doubling for wine (I’d have preferred the latter!), as well as singing and dancing and the odd display of butchness!
